New Sir Knights!

Past Faithful Navigators
Assembly 2467
Deacon James M. Seghers, Sr.

Many of our 3rd Degree Brother Knights accept a calling for the next step, that of becoming a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  Members who wish to live out patriotism together can join “the Fourth Degree.” Members of this degree have the special honor of holding the title “Sir Knight,” participating in color and honor guards and organizing programs that promote Catholic citizenship. “The fourth principle ‘Patriotism,’ commits our members to the preservation of our Church, our Order and to the many nations where Knights serve,”

Supreme Master Dennis Stoddard.

Date Night Steak Night 9

April 23, 2024

Nine years ago then Faithful Navigator, General Michael Cushman, USAF, Retired, proposed Date Night Steak Night.  An evening of fellowship and dinning for our 4th Degree Sir Knights and their spouses.  The tradition has continued for the 9th DNSN held on April 23, 2024 hosted by F/N Cleve Fair and GK Brian Callahan.  Sir Knights and their spouses were honored to be joined by Father Doug Bush, Pastor OLL, Father Cory Ford, Parochial Vicar and Monsignor Bruce Miller.

We were also honored to be joined by special guests, Mr. Charlton Meginley and his wife, the new Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs and his Under Secretary Mr. John Phillips.  We also had a memorable POW MIA Remembrance Ceremony.

It was a wonderful evening for all with a great meal and service provided by Pat’s Rest A While restaurant on the lakefront.
