FIRE! Meal Contribution
April 28,2024

What is FIRE?
OLL is introducing our new FIRE program! FIRE represents the burning hearts of the apostles as Jesus opened the Scriptures to them on the road to Emmaus. Our desire for you and your family is that your heart will also burn as we all grow in understanding of Christ and his message. This program is more than a lesson, it is an experience created to ignite a flame within the hearts of each family member in our parish. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, FIRE is designed to empower parents as the most influential catechists in their children's lives.
The commitment from Council 9240 to cooking dinners and providing meals to families participating in the OLL Family Faith Formation program, we aim to support and strengthen our community's spiritual and physical well-being.

Wives of Deceased Knights Banquet
On 4 February following the Noon Mass, the Knights of Columbus honored seven Wives of Deceased Knights with a Banquet in the Cafeteria Sunroom. The theme for the event was Mardi Gras. The Knights held a second line from the Parish Life Center to OLL School Cafeteria. The wives enjoyed the second line and when we lined up for the second line and entered the Cafeteria the Lady Knights provided Corsages, Plants, Beads, Lei’s, and Boa’s for each of the wives. Each deceased Knight was represented by a current Knight guest speaker.
Holy Family Hall
At Knights of Columbus, we're dedicated to enhancing our parish community. Through the renovation of Holy Family Hall on Our Lady of the Lake Campus, complete with a new kitchen and elegant wood flooring, we're creating a welcoming space for events and ministry meetings.
Patriotic Mass

2023 Christmas Shopping Spree
This past December the Knights of Columbus Council 9240 held their annual Christmas Shopping Spree at the Walmart Supercenter in Covington. Thanks to the Walmart SC Team for your support and cooperation. The Knights distributed 140 Walmart gift cards at $ 50 each to children in need from our community. There were a lot of happy and thankful youngsters shopping that day! Many thanks to Dr. Richard A. Jeffries for leading the project. Thanks to Julio Aviles, José Mascorro and all of the volunteers.
